On October 28, 2001 Funhog placed La Caja de Oro Letterbox near Santa
Fe,Santa Fe County, New Mexico. This is a quick stop on the way out of
town. It's noisy but worth a look.

To the trailhead: Head north on 285 out of Santa Fe. About five miles
past the Santa Fe Opera there is a dromedary of monolithic proportions
corralled on the west side of the highway. It has its own parking lot.

To the letterbox : Walk up the flagstone path to the adobe wall. Do not
feed the animal as it has a very restricted diet. Walk to the far end
of the wall. You are standing on the Box of Gold (La Caja de Oro.)
